8a Business Development Program
The 8(a) Business Development Program is a business assistance program for small disadvantaged businesses. The 8(a) Program offers a broad scope of assistance to firms that are owned and controlled at least 51% by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
SBA’s HUBZone program promotes economic development and employment growth in distressed areas by providing access to more federal contracting opportunities. The federal government has a goal of awarding 3% of all dollars for federal prime contracts to HUBZone-certified small business concerns.
Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)
The Vets First Verification Program ensures that set-aside funds are awarded to legitimate firms owned and controlled by Veterans and Service-disabled Veterans. A new hierarchy for open market procurement places highest priority with SDVOSBs first, then VOSBs.
The WOSB program has expanded and women owned small businesses are now be eligible for contract participation in 92 NAICS industry groups. Currently you are able to self certify on the new SBA One Contracting Portal until SBA develops new criteria.

Export Controlled Data
Joint Certification Program (JCP) or more often called a DD Form 2345, certifies a Canadian or U.S. contractor for access to unclassified military technical data belonging to Canada's Department of National Defense (DND) and to the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
It is estimated that as much as 85% of the part and product markets require this certificate in order to open the door to more opportunity.
